Our culture is in desperate need of Goddess Consciousness, of Feminine Wisdom, of that deeper connection to life, energy, and matter. A midst the chaos of consumerism and worship of material wealth, we have never been further removed from nature at any other time in history. And our bodies are reflecting it - our hunched postures are pulled by gravity as we yearn for mother earth, our minds race with anxiety as our bodies sit stagnant, incredible stress builds inside as we dull ourselves with endless entertainment. We are stuck, stuck in our minds, stuck in our ways. We are people and a planet in desperate need of dynamic energy, in desperate need of feeling and emotion, in desperate need of our soul. As Marion Woodman so beautifully articulates, "Femininity is silenced in our culture. There is simply no time for her. Moreover, her values and emotions are embarrassing, even to many women who love her. If we fail to speak our truth, fail to demand that others recognize our Being, we are abandoning our own soul." So I say, IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE, and this change begins with YOU. This change begins with the way you live your own little life. This change begins with the way you move about the world. This change begins with a minute shift in YOUR Conscious Embodiment. This change begins with Goddess Consciousness, Embodiment of the Goddess. It's time for us as human beings to live and spread the divine qualities inherent within us. How, might you ask? We've been provided with beautiful myths and stories of archetypal goddess energies, stories of higher beings that are within our own human potential. I'd like to share just a few... ![]() Durga Ma Durga is the energy within us that grants the power to defeat any obstacles that stand in our path. This is the Goddess I call upon most frequently. Durga gives the strength to deal with whatever life hands us, not in a "I'll tear this mother to shreds" kind of way, but a cool and calm "I can handle anything" kind of way. Durga carries the fierce fires of transformation and the groundedness of the sweet earth. She is both peaceful warrior and loving mother. She is the non-violent protest of Dr. King and Mahatma Gandhi. Durga brings strength and power to those who need it most. She is within YOU. ![]() Lakshmi Ma Lakshmi is the energy of beauty, abundance, and love. She is the bountiful river, summer in full bloom, the early autumn harvest. Lakshmi is that aspect of ourselves that allows us to enjoy life fully, to experience out sensual nature, and bask in creation's glory. Lakshmi carries the energy of the fountain of youth and allows us to experience our inner beauty. She radiates Love from our hearts, and grants us the ability to both give and receive. Lakshmi experiences all the abundance the world has to offer. She is within YOU. ![]() Saraswati Ma Saraswati is the Divine Muse. She bestows the gifts of creativity, speech, and wisdom. Saraswati grants us the unlimited possibilities this world has to offer. She helps us to find our own voice and discover and share the gifts we have to give. Saraswati carries the energy of the creative river and the boundlessness of infinite space. She flows from the musician's flute, the writer's pen, the artist's hand, the poet's word. Saraswati is the feminine wisdom our world is yearning for, the intuitive knowing and the voice to speak her truth. She is within YOU. "If the feminine can open herself to the fires of her own creativity, she can forge a flexible strong container strong enough to stand her own feeling because she can hold the opposites together. Virgin is no longer separated from whore; sexuality no longer split from spirituality; consciousness is no longer cut off from the unconscious... Body is no longer frozen vessel empty of both instincts and living spirit," again states Marion Woodman.
