Rachel is a creative and compassionate teacher who encourages students with nonjudgmental and gentle strength. Her passion for yoga shines through her artfully choreographed flows where you’ll experience a full spectrum practice, sprinkled with opportunities to both challenge and deeply nurture your Self. Rachel’s yoga classes and teachings are inspired by her connection to nature and her love of mystical yoga philosophy.
When Rachel found yoga more than a decade ago, it was initially just another way to feed her obsession to burn calories, but it quickly became much more. For the first time in her life, she found a way to listen to her body and nurture her spirit, rather than numb herself through compulsive exercise. To this day, Rachel continues to utilize the tools of yoga and meditation as daily medicine for anxiety and depression. It’s only when our bodies and minds are healthy, can we rise to our fullest human potential to love and serve.
Rachel has been teaching yoga since 2010, is trained in Shiva Rea's Prana Vinyasa Yoga and has deepened her intuitive approach to yoga by studying with Angela Farmer and Victor van Kooten. She's also a practicing Occupational Therapist and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor. In her free time, Rachel enjoys cozying up with her son and husband, hiking the enchanted Southwest, creating delicious vegetarian food, writing, reading, and honoring her inner introvert.
